April 1st
1pm

Join us in welcoming the dancers and drummers from the Spirit of Uganda 2008 Tour
Macy's is proud to be the national sponsor for the 2008 Spirit of Uganda Tour produced by Empower African Children, a non-profit organization inspired by success stories from more than 15 years of work with Africa's vulnerable children; through the power of innovative education, the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children can be transformed.
On Tuesday, April 1 at 1pm in the Grand Court, the Spirit of Uganda dancers will present a riveting demonstration of music and dance; while you're here, purchase a copy of Transcendent Spirit, an extraordinary and moving book by world-renowned photojournalist Douglas Menuez, and have it signed. Transcendent Spirit captures the story of the children in Uganda, the impact of AIDS and how the transforming power of the arts has provided a message of hope.
